In the Weekly Republican Address, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina takes the Obama administration to task for blocking and delaying new American energy production, which would create thousands of jobs and go a long way towards reducing dependency on foreign energy sources. By contract, Republicans support an "all-of-the-above" approach that includes nuclear, wind, solar and other renewables along with oil and gas production. "Opening access to responsible energy production will lower prices, create jobs, grow our economy, decrease dangerous dependence on foreign oil and lower the deficit by adding much needed revenue to the Treasury," Scott says.
